Today we try a new recipe for Beet Hummus. So readers, what do you think about beets? I didn’t grow up eating beets so I knew little about them until a co-worker of mine started bringing things like a roasted beet salad and beet hummus for lunch. She offered me a bite and I thought “mmmm….that’s…. earthy.” So I decided to try to make my own beet hummus.
Here’s what I know about beets:
- They will stain your hands
- They grow in the ground
- They taste a little like dirt
So with that, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and recreate her beet hummus, which was actually pretty tasty, by the way. Here’s what I know about beet hummus:
It will stain your hands
It’s good room temperature or cold
It tastes a little less like dirt because of the garlic and lemon.
I urge you to step out of your comfort zone and try beet hummus. Then let me know what you think because I’m dying to know.
If you make my Beet Hummus Recipe, be sure to take a photo and tag me @onlinefoodblog on Instagram or Twitter. I would love nothing more than to see your creations!
